Protesting in the streets enables Liberians to express themselves about the issues that are affecting the nation. Protests can be uplifting and empowering and can help Liberians feel like they are part of a larger movement
In addition to organizing and advocating on a large scale, CoP members are encouraged to engage in community service on issues they care about.

We, the Citizens of Liberia acting under the Banner of the Council of Patriots (COP) are convinced that the deteriorating economic conditions will continue to worsen mainly because of the intransigence and arrogance of President Weah and senior officials of his administration which shows their gross insensitivity to the horrible plight and suffering of ordinary Liberians.
